Portraits by Mint

Mint is a London based photographer, specialising in formal yet contemporary portraits of children.

An award-winning art photographer, with a background of newspaper and magazine photography, environment and storyline are equally as important to her work as the more traditional elements of costume and pose.

Believing that children are full of wonderful ideas, Mint’s main focus when working with children is on getting the child fully involved in the whole creative process, so that their outlook and interests are being celebrated just as much as their physical self.

Thanks to mobile phones, we as parents are able to constantly snap and capture ourselves many of our children’s magical moments in action. And so Mint’s approach is rather about a studied celebration of a particular stage in the child’s life.
